The primary objective of SSATFASE is to provide/share information about opportunities for getting higher education abroad and the career advancement of young Pakistani’s more so in an affordable budget. SAATFASE is a non-profit charitable organization set up to promote and advance scientific progress in Pakistan and help Pakistanis acquire these skills abroad.
We are a non-profit organization and working on the basis of individual efforts of our members.
OBJECTIVES of our group:
- We want to work together united as a nation not as different groups of people.
- We want to be and stay democratic and open in our approach.
- We want to be enthusiastic, supportive and helpful to our countrymen without having prejudices and false ego.
- We want to provide a Platform for Information exchange and discussions related to career advancement, Opportunities and Education.
- We want to promote Pakistani youth in all fields of Education and Professional careers by mutual help.
So if we want to achieve our Goals than we need to be Objective, Serious, Disciplined and at the same time Effective and Helpful.
Posting Guidelines and Rules:
Following are the Posting guidelines and Rules for posting messages on SAATFASE group:
1) Please do not post any jobs/ Vacancies if they are not related to some educational purpose like a PHD, Apprenticeship. The only exception to this is the part time Job opportunities for student’s survival in a foreign country.
If you want to post a job, we will suggest the following yahoo groups.
2) Please do not post any immigration and Work permit related posts. The only exception to this is the work permit queries in context of student jobs. For work permit related issues have a look at the following Links:

3) Advertisement of any sort for commercial purpose is NOT allowed. This includes the advertisement for Education Consultants, Agencies and Middlemen.
4) Advertisements for a social purpose and which are related to Education and student affairs is allowed and welcome. Like for example student Advising organizations (working on Volunteer basis), Information about a Course offering in a local institute or an online seminar.
5) Do NOT post any personal messages on the group like for example Hair loss, or Weight gain. If you want to discuss your personal issues or communicate with your friends please do it privately on individual basis.
6) Please do NOT distribute Academic Material on group. If you want to answer someone’s question about a research topic by providing academic research material, do it directly on the asking persons email address. Posting large files on group only occupies the quota of receiving persons e-mail account.
7) Please do not start any Political, Religious or any Off-Topic Discussions on the group.
Useful Tips and Warnings:
If you want a quick and effective reply to your question OR you have posted a message several times on SAATFASE and no one has replied to it. Read the following:

Most of the basic and simple questions have been repeatedly asked “many many times” on the SAATFASE group and have been answered as well. So if you have simple questions like for example:
- Where to look for good Universities in UK/US?
- Can someone tell me which universities are giving admissions in Winter/Summer semester?
- Where and how to prepare for TOEFL/GRE/GMAT?
- How to look for Accommodation/Jobs in XYZ country?
Take the following approach:
1- Try to use yahoo id for this group so that you could log in www.groups.yahoo.com and search for previous archives and see file section.. We have a lot of stuff on GRE / TOEFL / IELTS/Universities Rankings etc in file section ...
What is the use of looking for previous messages.. Believe me the question u have just asked has been already asked by some one.... u cud review the replies and ask that guy directly what he did in that scenario.. Learn from others experience. And one lost of asking such a common repeated question is that u wont get better replies... last week some one was asking abt GRE vocab.. I cud not help myself in replying bcoz I had already posted on GRE vocab several times. If the person cud go via old messages.. He cud learn abt GRE in previous mesages.

You want a quick and precise Answer to your Question, then do following:
1. Formulate your question “properly”, “clearly” and “precisely”. Unless necessary do not limit your question to 1-2 lines and give a short and “to-the-point” background/description when asking a question. So that others can understand what u are asking.
2. Do not use abbreviations like UCI or ATU. Many members of the group do not know what these abbreviations stand for.
3. Try to keep subject of the format XXX YYY ZZZ ...where XXX shud be country for desired Information like US/UK/Sweden YYY shud be the name of Uni Name ... ZZZ can be little
description ....if its query then mark question marks at the end. In this way we can go via previous messages efficiently .... Subjects like "help me" or "Top unis" doesnt help any one ..I pay generally more attention to those emails which has US in subjects ...

If you don’t want to leave a bad impression and annoy other members, which can cause no one taking your questions seriously and will result in you getting NO help from other members. Do following:
Never ever reply daily digest.. It creates a chain and actual mails become very difficult to find and it also create huge sized junk mails. Try to be polite and careful in the way u write ur emails and address an issue, that’s the only way to leave a good impression of yourself.

If any one is found especially abandoning these then moderators keep their rights to ban such member after only one warning.
We want to help each other and benefit as Group, so do not limit your questions/Information among individuals.
Don’t ask questions by sending personal e-mails to the members and if someones sends you a personal e-mail directed to you asking about a particular education and career related question, than please don’t reply back to that person privately privately. If you will reply to the asking person privately on 1 to 1 basis than no one else will be able to benefit from the information.
If some member doesn’t want to disclose his id then ask him to make fake id and send questions on group .. try to reply always on group so that you help more than one guy at a time ... Not enuff ppl ..not enuff resources .. we cant provide one to one help .
BOTTOM LINE:
We respect the desires, ambitions and thoughtfulness of those who will want to share a Job opportunity and/Or an Immigration tip thru our Platform but at the same we also believe that everything is more effective on its right place and in an organized way otherwise a lot of different Information and Focuses ends up in Information Overload and disorder.
So don’t give up the initiative and use the above links to other yahoo groups to share the information on RIGHT platform. As we respect our members we hope that as a new or existing member of SAATFASE group you will also respect our Rules and will help us in making it an Effective platform.
